Quick dimensions - all 3 of the circular tables are 48 inches diameter long.

We have to make a platform that can go both up and down using hydraulics, and can turn with "no mechanical aids" (such as a motor). Then we started from there... and we were completely WAY too overkill on the dimensions  The cylinder wasn't supposed to be THAT large, and the four tubes were also supposed to be smaller. Our surprise this morning when we assembled everything altogether in SolidWorks  The top of the table spin using some kind of flat bearing placed at the middle of the two top plates, and the rest of the table is supported with 12 smaller ball spinners (think trackballs). The handle's there to stop the table from turning... that's actually the only part that we found lame

Make the handle smaller then. Actually, make three or four handles at each "rise" of the table and make it small enough to fit into that rise thingy, but not go over it.

Interesting concept... I take it that this is supposed to be for heavy duty stuff? Since you include a lot of floor clamps, and the four pistons look to be thick enough for structural/heavy mechanic work. I originally thought this was a compressor of a sort, using hydraulics to compress something in the very center, and the top was going to be a place where additional weight would go on to add more pressure, but I see this is not the case.

Interesting concept. I like it.

There will be 4 "modules" (actually, 3, but space for a 4th), and the user needs to be able to operate everything from his place, which will be between two "pillars", so the handle will be either at his left or right. That's why we only included one handle.

Actually the very top table and the modules are going to weight just around 1,750 lbs, not all that much.... as I said our assembly is WAY overkill for what we're lifting  Its also going up and down by 12 inches.

Thanks 8-) We're finalizing it today, modeling the wheels for the pillars (right now they're just a circular object) and putting the ~96 screws if I remember  Then we'll do even better renders and Ill show 'em to you guys.
