Also, to Cecil: As far as being faster clock-per-clock, the reminds me of something I noticed about my MA790X-UD4P the other day. When the base clock is left at the 200MHz default, it is actually running at 201.4MHz. One and a half MHz times whatever the multiplier may be is a big difference, and might account for a false sense of being faster clock-per-clock.
Also calls to mind some of the old Abit boards that set the base clock at 204 by default (but at least accurately reported it in the BIOS, which my GB board doesn't). Super-fast clock-per-clock! (Or so it seemed if you didn't check.)Clock for clock, as in clock for clock. Not a few over. The only time the board goes over a little is when its at 200. Set each one to an even 4Ghz, and there will be a difference. Its not just an AMD thing, goes for Intel too.

Its not just an AMD thing, goes for Intel too. Okay man, I believe you. You're the most trusted name in computing as far as I'm concerned.

Nope, I said that like that But that's still how I feel about it. It might be true or not, Id have to search (dont have the time this morning). I like to have the features (not that I dislike the current 790X chipset you sold me, I love it, but I like to be able to expend my hardware once Ill have some money, so the FX chipset will end up better for me) ready if I happen to need it.

The Gig X58 mobo I had was faster in all primes then my EVGA at 4.4 (long benches) and 4.5 (short benches). Only thing about the EVGA is it clocks a tad higher to make up for it. But that was with the exact same speeds, ram speeds and timings, and even same batch number of CPU.
